Sustainable production

Parradox always uses environmentally and allergy-friendly colors and raw materials for finishing and strives to use only high-quality materials produced under fair conditions. When selecting suppliers, we pay particular attention to ensuring that they have been awarded quality seals such as the FWF seal (Fair Wear Foundation), the Fairtrade or GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) seal. Companies that are allowed to display the FWF seal have joined the Fair Wear Foundation and undertake to comply with the eight basic guidelines and to inspect the production facilities annually.

The Eight Guidelines of the Fair Wear Foundation

  • limitation of working hours

  • Free choice of workplace

  • No Child labor

  • No discrimination in employment

  • Legally binding employment contract

  • Safe and healthy working conditions

  • Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining

  • Payment of a living wage

The Global Oranic Textile Standard Label focuses primarily on the organic quality of the cotton used, the unmixed processing and storage along the entire supply chain, as well as the additives and dyes used in textile production, taking into account social criteria, among other things. The standards of the ILO (International Labor Organization) apply to all workers in the production process, compliance with which is regularly checked by the GOTS.

The Fairtrade seal is not only known for coffee, chocolate and bananas, but is also awarded for cotton and textiles. Originally, the seal was required for the cultivation of cotton and the production of the resulting textiles and specifically promotes small and medium-sized farms. The seal ensures long-term supply contracts, guaranteed purchases and minimum prices. The companies pay a Fairtrade premium, which in turn is invested in development projects and education.

Our social thought

We not only pay attention to the well-being of people, animals and nature when selecting materials, colours, packaging and processes throughout the production chain, but also feel obliged to support projects that are essentially in line with our philosophy & to promote and to realize own projects in the long term, which focus on the well-being of humans, animals and nature and can be realized with your support. Keeping our ecological footprint as small as possible is the daily challenge, just like its standards and values, it is always to be observed and implemented. Nevertheless, good things can be achieved with small gestures. We only use fairly grown organic cotton, vegan labels, environmentally friendly colors and plant a tree with every order through partners. Production takes place on demand and clothing purchased from us can be returned to us. We donate pieces that can still be worn to aid organizations.
